Sky-Map uses the digital maps of the widespread flight planning software "Flight Planner" from ifos. Owners of the "Flight Planner" can use their existing maps also for Sky-Map. The map technology permits unlimited zoom, seamless transitions between different maps and "map in map" representation (e. g. true scaled insertion of approach charts on the enroute map). Airspace boundarys can be displayed optically emphasized on the map (Airspace overlay).
